Congratulations Lizzy!
Hunter's Dream for a Cure volunteer Lizzy Demaske was named the fourth 2009-2010 Winning Attitude award winner by Qwest, FSN Rocky Mountain and the University of Colorado! The award honors ten middle school students in Colorado who make a difference in their communities by providing outstanding efforts in sportsmanship, community involvement and teamwork.
Lizzy volunteered with Hunter's Dream at our Craig Morgan Denim & Diamonds Gala, working to make sure the event was running smoothly and everyone in attendance was having the best time possible. She was happy to put smiles on other people's faces, and in the process found herself smiling too by learning how fun and rewarding volunteering can be. Her work and this special recognition show that people of any age can put in the critical time and energy to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs. We are very blessed to have volunteers like Lizzy working with our foundation!
Lizzy will be honored between the third and fourth quarters of this Saturday's (November 7th) CU football game against Texas A&M. Lizzy's school, Windsor Middle School, will receive a $1,000 contribution from Qwest and is now entered against the other nine finalists for a chance to win a $2,500 contribution and a school-wide pep rally with CU coaches, student-athletes, cheerleaders, and pep band and FSN Rocky Mountain on-air personalities.
Congratulations Lizzy and keep up the good work!
We really appreciate it!
